White River Rafting

White river rafting on the Zambezi River is undoubtedly the best white water in Southern Africa! This activity is not for the faint hearted. Guests should be reasonably fit as the walk in and out is strenuous. The Zambian side offers a lift out that is included in the rate.
Serious adrenalin junkies should know that the best time to go white river rafting on the Zambezi is from September to January when the water levels are are low. When the water levels are too high rafting stops altogether; this is entirely dependant on rainfall but can be as early as February and resuming again from April onwards. Full day and half day options are available on both the Zim and Zambian of the Falls in low water.

White Water Rafting has closed for the season due to current high water levels of the Zambezi River. It will re-open once the river has receded again.

Zambezi River Cruises

Sundowners are a tradition in Africa and a cruise is the time honored way of enjoying sunset on the Zambezi River. There are a number of boats from small to large that traverse these waters. If you have a special occasion to celebrate you could hire a private boat. Dinner cruises, lunch cruises, big boats suitable for weddings or small boats perfect to ask that special someone in your life to marry you are all available. A selection of drinks and snacks are included on all boats but park fees(about $10 per person) are payable directly on arrival at the boat.

Microlight Flight of Angels: Zambia

This in our opinion is the best way to see Victoria Falls - just you and the pilot taking an unhurried flight over the Falls. The pilot’s headset and yours are linked so he can tell you what you are looking at. A camera is installed on the wing of the microlight, to record your unforgettable flight over the Falls. Literally breathtaking. Definitely unforgettable. 15 minute or 30 minute options available. Guests coming from Zimbabwe will need their passports and they may need to purchase a visa to enter Zambia.

Helicopter Flight of Angels: Zambia and Zimbabwe

Ok so you’re chicken to fly in a microlight but still want to see the Falls from above. A helicopter flight of angels is a fun way to see the Victoria Falls from the air and in our opinion a must if you are going to Victoria Falls in high water months. The photo opportunities are fantastic and the view is beyond adjectives.
The short (about 13 minutes) option is the most popular, but longer options are also available.

Elephant Back Safaris - Zambia and Zimbabwe

Take the ride of your life on the back of an African elephant. The two and a half hour elephant back safaris are conducted in the bush within a private wildlife estate and are led by an experienced guide and include an elephant interaction where you will feed and interact with “your” elephant. Morning trips include a full English breakfast; afternoon trips include snacks and refreshments and operate all year round.
This activity has become somewhat controversial in some quarters as some believe a 'wild' animal should not be involved in activities. We only use Wild Horizons (Zim side) and Safari Par Excellence (Zambia) for this activity as we believe they run  humane and ethical operations.
