THE BIG 5 INTERACTIVE SAFARI, ZIMBABWE

The Big 5 Interactive Safari is an excellent value for money activity which comprises of a collection of safari activities that are undertaken within a 3500 hectare private reserve in Victoria Falls twice daily at either sunrise or sunset.

Activities include:

  • A morning or afternoon game drive
    Tracking of black rhino
  • A lion encounter with a sub adult lion pride
    Get up and personal as you ride and interact with African Elephants
  • See vultures, eagles and marabou stork at the Scavanger feeding restaurant
  • Interact with knowledgeable Guides at the Wildlife Edutainment Centre

WHITE WATER RAFTING

White river rafting on the Zambezi River is undoubtedly the best white water in Africa! Full day and half day options available. Serious adrenalin junkies should know that the best time to go white river rafting on the Zambezi is from November to February when the water is low.

CHOBE DAY SAFARI’S

A Chobe Day Safari is the best option to see game in a hurry. Chobe is elephant paradise. The Chobe safari combines land and water game viewing from the comfort of open game viewing vehicles and a pontoon boat, which travels the Chobe River. Lunch is provided. Depart around 0700 return 17h00. You have the possibility of seeing everything except rhino. The no rainfall winter months (May – August) are the best time to see the huge herds of Chobe elephant.

LION ENCOUNTER: ZIMBABWE AND ZAMBIA

Walk with lions in their natural habitat. Part of the Lion Encounter conservation project to re introduce lions back into areas where lions are either endangered or extinct. The lions range from 3- 16 months. No persons under 1.5m tall or under 16 years of age allowed to participate.

MICROLIGHT ‘FLIGHT OF ANGELS’ : ZAMBIA

In our opinion the best way to see Victoria falls. Just you and the pilot taking an unhurried flight over the Falls. The pilot’s headset and yours are linked so he can tell you what you are looking at. A camera is installed on the wing of the microlight, to record your unforgettable fight over the Falls. 15 minute or 30 minute options available.

HELICOPTER ‘FLIGHT OF ANGELS’ : ZAMBIA

Ok so you’re chicken to fly in a microlight but still want to see the Falls from above. A helicopter flight of angels is a fun way to see the Victoria Falls from the air if you are travelling in a family or group. 15 minute or 30 minute options available.

ELEPHANT BACK SAFARI: ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE

Take the ride of your life on the back of an African elephant. The two and a half hour elephant back safaris are conducted in the bush within a private estate close and are led by an experienced guide and include an elephant interaction where you will feed and play with “your” elephant. Morning trips include a full English breakfast, afternoon trips include snacks and refreshments and operate all year round. No children under 10 years can participate.


CANOE TRAILS: ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE

Half day or full day trails as well as fully supported overnight canoe safaris of one, two or three nights on the Zambezi River. Overnight canoe safaris spend their nights under canvas on islands in the area. A variety of big game and waterbirds can be seen.

HORSE TRAIL: ZAMBIA AND ZIMBABWE

Beginner's trails, half day, full day and overnight horse trail options as well as champagne breakfast morning trails are offered. All levels of competency are catered for and no experience is necessary. BUNGI

Not the highest bungi jump in Southern Africa any longer but still a thrill. Jump 110 metres into the Batoka gorge from the Victoria Falls bridge.

THE EDGE

This is three activities for the price of one and pretty good value for adrenalin junkies. You can abseil the gorge, fly over the gorge on the "Flying fox" and enjoy the thrill of the gorge swing for as many times as you can manage! Half day and full day options.

THE AFRICAN QUEEN’ RIVER CRUISE: ZAMBIA

A cruise on the African Queen or her sister, the African Princess, is a very genteel way of experiencing sundowners on the Zambezi River. Sit in cane chairs and quaff the hot snacks as you glide passed the Mosi oa Tunya national park. All drinks are included. Depart 1600 return 1930.

‘THE HMV MAKUMBI’ RIVER CRUISE: ZAMBIA

The hosts on the Makumbi create a party atmosphere that’s hard to beat. The Makumbi is not for you if you like a quiet time, rather ask to go on the sister boat the HMV Mwambushi. All drinks are included plus hot and cold snacks. Depart 1600 return 1930 from the Waterfront.

THE MUKUNI VILLAGE TOUR

Experience local Zambian culture. Mukuni Village is home to around 7000 people. One can encounter how people live traditionally in Zambia, see their huts, view the people of the village at work and even taste some traditional Zambian foods.

FISHING TRIPS

Half day and full day fishing on the Zambezi for Tigerfish or Bream with a specialist guide. Serious anglers, recreational fishermen and first timers all catered for. All equipment provided.
